This limited edition photo art book is created all one by one "by hand", by three Japanese artists.
The photos in the book, which are taken and layout by photographer Yusaku Aoki, are designed and hand-bound by artist Nami Yoshida using the traditional Japanese technique with waxed thread, and the translucent thin fabric cover on it is sewed by seamstress and music composer Maiko Okimoto.

The photos and the music in the book is the collaborative work prepared for their earlier joint exhibition entitled ‘the other side’, held in 2022 at The Side in Kyoto, Japan.
They tried to glimpse the fleeting moments in life through the lens and sounds. We all know nothing is permanent, however, even though the scenes in reality are constantly changing like floating particles, those moments certainly exist as if forever on the photographic paper, which makes us imagine the slightest touch of presence wandering around between life and death.
This 36 minutes of music that Maiko composed is likened human life-span to the passing of the seasons using a lot of nature sounds recorded by her as if she tries to express the world that Yusaku had caught through the lens.

『ここに写っている景色はどこへ行ってしまったのか。
紙の上には確かに存在する、 もう存在しないはずの景色を想う。
写真という物質が発する、 生と死の中間地点をウロウロと漂う曖昧な存在の気配。
ある日、 偶然に混ざり合ったインクの中からうっすらとその姿を現した気配の行方を、音と共に見つめる。』

2022年6月に京都の「The side」オープニング展として開催された、写真家・青木勇策と電子音楽家・沖本麻衣子による二人展の記録。
展示会の為に作曲されたこの36分間の音楽は、青木氏がレンズを通して捉えた「生と死の堺」を揺蕩う世界を表現するように、人の一生を季節の移り変わりになぞらえ、彼女が実際に一年間をかけてフィールドレコーディングした自然音と共に構成されている。

写真イメージと音楽が融合したインスタレーションがそのまま落とし込まれた本書は、すべて三人による「手作業」で製作されており、写真家の青木勇策が撮影・制作したイメージを、ブックデザインを担当した吉田奈未が日本の伝統技法である和綴じにて製本し、音楽家で洋裁師でもある沖本麻衣子によって縫製された薄手のナイロン製のブックカバーで覆われ、一つ一つ丁寧に仕上げられている。
